Join us in Australia’s biggest World Yoga Day celebration on 21 Jun

Sydney June 13, 2015: On the occasion of the first World Yoga Day, we invite you all to be part of its biggest celebration of Australia that is being organised in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, all in sync, harmony and free, reflecting the very principal of Yoga.

The Hindu Council of Australia (HCA), HSS and OFBJP Australia are teaming up with large number of Yoga schools and community organisations to organise this historic event.

A number of programmes are being organised in all the major cities of Australia, where renowned Yoga gurus from all the different schools and types will sharing the millennia old wisdom by taking free yoga and meditation classes.

Sydney, the yoga capital of Australia will witness its tryst with spirituality at the multicultural hub Parramatta. A grand Sun Salutation (Surya Namaskar) would be the special attraction of the event. A large number of Yoga lovers will perform this ancient set of Yoga imbibing sun’s energy within them.

Australia is in deep love with Yoga and this is reflected by the number of special guests lined up for the day that includes personalities from sports and films, a number of federal and state ministers and parliamentarians.

Through our endeavours, we support the efforts of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who during his maiden speech at the United Nations, proposed the benefits of adopting yoga to the global audience and called for the adoption of 21 June as the International Day of Yoga.

People of all faith, race, gender and nationality are welcome to participate and experience the benefits of one of the earliest science known to mankind.
